Crop Update 2/7/17

TEXAS

The weather has continued to be warmer than average with perfect amounts of rain. Our crops are coming in 12-14 days earlier than our anticipated harvest dates with outstanding quality that should continue for at least the next 30 days.

The current cabbage markets are being driven downward due to the fact that the crops are larger in yield and some fields are “doubling up” causing more supply than the demand can handle. Although prices are stagnant, we anticipate supplies will be much less than the current levels and prices to rise.
